Plugs On Cruise Ships
Onboard electricity is 220V.
Plugs on cruise ships. Yes there are a couple American plugs plus several European typ. All our cruise ships feature 2-pin round pin Continental style plug 220 volt-60 Hz. I live in fear that youll ship out with me on some future cruise and beat me to the plugs or worse tell someone who is booked on the QV and they hoof off and plug in.
The other cruise lines listed here dont feature UK plug sockets so it might be wise to bring adapters along with you. On the Carnival Horizon Carnival Panorama Carnival Sunrise and Carnival Vista there is one USB outlet 5 volt 1000mA in each stateroom. The 220V outlets are German Schuko 2.
Or is the plug type depending on the country the ship was built in. Most Cruise ships adhere to the European electrical standard for wall outlets. All celebrity ships have both 110 and 220V outlets in the cabins.
So electric plugs are there not terribly visible and not easy to find but Im not going to tell you where they are. But help refresh my memory from our previous sailing with Silversea. On the Carnival Celebration and Mardi Gras there are three outlets located at the desk.
In the USA we use 110 volts. Some ships also have 110V outlets. Generally these are the 2-prong outlets that are circular.
